Rugby is growing in popularity around the UAE, especially with the Dubai 7’s tournament held soon in December. One of the many reasons Askaris Information Technology LLC, in collaboration with OES Group, supports the pride of Mahanamians, The Mahanama Old Boys Association Rugby Team.

Mahanama Rugby has a proud history of 27 years which started to play inter-school in 1986.
Mahanama College – Old Boys Association Rugby Team recently played a number of teams in the UAE’s Inter School Tag Rugby Tournament.
The team dominated the elimination game when they defeated Trinity and St. Joseph. In the Cup Quarter Finals, they prevailed over Isipathana with flying colours. They battled with St. Peter’s in the Semi Finals and lost by only a small margin score of 7-5.
Mahanama College OBA Rugby team have had consistent outstanding performances and currently retain the 1st place at the U.A.E. top category of the Sri Lankan league.
