OES Lead Inspector, Simon Turner, will be undertaking climbing the Luzzone Dam in Switzerland in April 2021 for LATCH Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity.

He has 9 months remaining to train and prepare for the world’s tallest artificial climbing route.

LATCH is a voluntary organisation set up to support the special requirements of the children’s oncology centre at the Children’s Hospital for Wales, to help affected families and promote research in childhood cancer.

Simon said of his charity climb, ‘I have always been interested in doing something for children in need. Cancer is spreading and getting worse for all ages, but to see children suffer from such young ages breaks my heart. I hope that I can raise something in order to help the great cause that Latch provide. ’
