Assistant to Global HSE Support

 

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Assistant to Global HSE Support. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in ensuring the highest standards of HSE across our global operations.

 

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System (HSEMS) on a global scale.
  • Assist in setting HSE objectives and targets; monitor progress and status of HSE Management Programs.
  • Contribute to the development of HSE action plans and emergency response plans.
  • Collaborate in ensuring compliance with regulations and the company’s HSE Manual.
  • Provide assistance in advising and supporting OES Management on HSE issues.
  • Assist in identifying potential hazards and risks, and support in implementing necessary control measures.
  • Support HSE Internal & External Audits and inspections for regulatory bodies and clients.
  • Aid in establishing remote site standards; support compliance checks during site visits.
  • Contribute to incident investigations, collaborating with employer & client, and accurate reporting to the management team and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in maintaining health, safety, and environment-related documents and records.
  • Support initiatives to ensure personnel awareness of the Company’s Health Safety and Environment Policy and Procedures.
  • Contribute to ensuring adequate control of HSE risks associated with departmental activities.
  • Provide support in monitoring HSE internal training compliance as per OES procedures and requirements.
  • Assist in investigating and addressing queries and complaints regarding health, safety, and environment from employees

 

Authorities:

  • Collaborate in conducting HSE meetings with HSE Committee and employees as required.
  • Contribute to investigations into the causes of accidents, potential and actual hazards, and dangerous occurrences.
  • Support HSE inspections at OES workplace as required.
  • Assist in implementing control measures and requirements related to equipment and tools purchased or rented.
  • Contribute to the selection of appropriate training courses for employees based on associated risks.
  • Assist in receiving HSE information from each department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Having ISO Lead auditor certification (45001,14001) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience or education in HSE practices is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Assistant Technical Proof Readers

 

We have multiple opportunities for Assistant Technical Proofreaders to work remotely.

Location: Remote Support

 

Position Overview: As an Assistant Technical Proofreader, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, ensuring that technical documents meet the highest standards of accuracy and clarity. Reporting directly to Technical Proofreader, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our inspection reports and other technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proofreading and Editing: Collaborate closely with Technical Proofreader to proofread and edit technical documents, reports, and other written materials to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to company standards.
  2. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of inspection reports, ensuring that technical content is precise, consistent, and free from grammatical errors.
  3. Technical Expertise: Possess knowledge and experience in lifting gear and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections, providing a solid foundation for understanding and accurately proofreading technical content in these domains.
  4. Style Guide Adherence: Follow and enforce company-specific style guides, ensuring uniformity in documentation across projects.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with technical teams and subject matter experts to clarify technical concepts and improve overall document quality.
  6. Global Support: Provide proofreading support for projects worldwide, with a primary focus on the Middle East. Be flexible to support other regions as required.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the proofreading and quality assurance workflow and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency.
  8. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry standards, technical terminology, and company-specific guidelines. Participate in training sessions to continuously enhance proofreading skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field. Having LEEA and NDT qualification will be an advantage.
  2. Proven experience in technical proofreading, editing, or quality assurance.
  3. Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and style.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors in technical content.
  5. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and documentation.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other proofreading tools.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
